Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon and Garfunkel

Read this song and then find three words that you are not sure what they mean and find the definition and post them here in your own words as they relate to the context they are in.

When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all

I'm on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you

I'll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

Sail on Silver Girl,
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way

See how they shine
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind

  1. Weary means tired. The context means he's tired what is happening in his relashionship.
Tears means cry. The context says he's about to cry,
Rough I know don't another word to say, but the co text says his is getting bad times right now, everything is going wrong because his relashionship, and he got sad.

  2. On rough would Aspero work from Portuguese? Rough means not smooth. You use his when I think he is having bad times right now (might be better) or I think things aren't going well for him at this time.

Because his relationship. Will work better if you say because of his relationship and he is sad.

    Good job!
